Other
Leilani began her career in 1989, working in the camera department as a Clapper Loader then as a Focus
Puller for over 10 years. During that time she assisted DOP’s such as Geoff Burton, Russell Boyd, Martin
McGrath, Graeme Lind, Geoffrey Simpson, Ellery Ryan, Mandy Walker - to name but a few.
In 2000 she was accepted into AFTRS and completed the one year Masters Course in Cinematography and
graduated as Cinematographer of the Year. That year she was also Best National Student Cinematographer
by the ACS.
